The goal of constructing the hospital in Khodabandeh County, Zanjan, is to achieve the objectives of Iran’s economic, social, and cultural development plan, ensuring that all segments of the population benefit from an adequate level of welfare and health.
Given the existing site of the Khodabandeh Zanjan Hospital, the initial volume study of the building was considered in a linear form, which is the best pattern for achieving optimal hospital performance.
Based on the initial zoning and placement of various medical sections, four distinct primary sections were created. To enhance the readability of the hospital’s main entrance, a formal indentation was designed in accordance with the overall geometry.
To improve spatial quality, additional floors were developed in three sections with the aid of vertical connections, transferring related medical centers to the upper levels.
In the highest volume of the project, a notch was incorporated into the design to maintain the linear process and ensure proper lighting for the medical sections.
The end of this ‘U’-shaped form was chosen as the best location for placing vertical connections to link the various sections.
